How to be Weatherwise:
Wear and equip wisely. Dress appropriately and bring gear suitable for the expected weather conditions.
Examine forecasts early and often. Weather can change quickly. Check forecasts regularly throughout the day and adjust plans as needed.
Allocate time for contingencies. Ensure your response plans align with the capabilities of your audience and venue.
Think safety first. When in doubt, always err on the side of caution. Safety should guide every decision.
Have backup plans ready. Prepare multiple response options to enhance resilience and adaptability.
Engage the professionals. Consult public and private meteorological services for timely, accurate, and event-specific information.
Review and refine. After each weather-related incident, evaluate your response and update your plans to improve future outcomes.
