The Service Playbook: Complete Series Now Available
GCMA is pleased to share that the tenth and final chapter of The Service Playbook has now been published, bringing the full series to a close.
Authored and led by Thyr Rodrigues, The Service Playbook is a GCMA series focused on Services: the attendee-facing, on-the-ground function that works alongside Safety and Security to support operational effectiveness, crowd experience and event-day delivery.
Across ten chapters, the series provides a structured, practice-led framework for planning, resourcing, preparing and delivering effective Service operations. Rather than revisiting the basics, The Service Playbook is designed for professionals already active in crowd management, event operations and major event delivery, offering practical approaches that can be adapted across different environments, venues and event types.
The final chapter, The Service Operations Lifecycle, draws together the complete framework developed throughout the series, reinforcing the importance of connecting scope, staffing, equipment, planning, documentation, training, readiness and live delivery into one coherent operating system.
The complete set of all 10 chapters is now available to download from The Service Playbook page.
